Projects Accomplished

Norway Europe to Himachal Pradesh India

This involved movement of one large Tunnel Boring Machine from Norway via river on a barge, to load port at origin. Dismantling of the machine had to be supervised before loading on the barge. In India, on arrival at Nhava Sheva port, we organised for customs bonded trucking to ICD New Delhi, as a special case for break bulk cargo, and then after completion of clearance formalities, cargo was moved to site. Hauling this large machine via barge / river was a daunting task and challenge. In India, getting special permission from Indian customs to allow movement via bonded trucking was another hurdle. The last leg of the move involved transportation via narrow winding roads to site which required consistent monitoring and traffic co-ordination every step of the route.

Norway Europe to Himachal Pradesh India

Here again this involved movement for a used Tunnel Boring Machine from Australia to Shanghai China. Cargo weighed in at 48 cbm / 48,000 kgs. The coordination between shipping lines, heavy vehicle transportation companies, vendors and agent partners in Australia and Shanghai and the smooth execution of the project right from pick up to final delivery at destination goes a long way in proving Titan’s expertise and sheer grit in handling 3rd country projects with its global partners.

Dalian Port China to Chennai India

Another milestone for Titan! This project involved collection, vessel booking, planning and execution of consolidated movement for Tunnel Boring Machines from Dalian China to Chennai India. The machines were collected from 3 different sites in China. The combined weight of this cargo was 1,306 cbm / 11,22,654 kgs. Shipment had to move in two separate lots and Titan had to organise for charter vessels for their movement to Chennai India. This was another feat as organising charter vessels is not easy and involves a cumbersome documentation process. Handling such projects with strict delivery timelines from our clients, gives us utmost satisfaction when the job is done.
